I had the pleasure of meeting Alice at the weekend, WOW what an inspiration she is.

The meeting was arranged after Alice, who is still only 12 yrs old, had seen an article on me in Cycling Weekly Magazine. This article had been written after I had become World Champion at The World Transplant Games in South Africa this summer and had helped inspire Alice to get better and ride the bike she had got just before she fell poorly.
Alice had liver cancer, the chemo she had to reduce the tumour, made her ill and had to be stopped. The only option for Alice was to have a liver transplant. Mum and Dad had to fight to get this done, and all this has happened within the last year. After all this Alice was still determined to get on her bike and even though she is still under going chemotherapy, she has been riding her bike!
Myself and Pro Vision Clothing gave this amazing young lady a GB Tx cycling jersey and I know the rest of the GB Tx cycling team are looking forward to meeting Alice at a team training session in the future.
If you're not already on the Organ Donor register this story alone should make you think and talk about it .
